Birkengarten in Subingen
The Birkengarten Building was realized as a rectangular, modern flat roof building with orientation to the western border of the triangular parcel. The apartments for rent are built to condominium standards, the threshold-free and obstacle-free floor plan includes an easy-to-use, functional kitchen and a spacious wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. In the basement are the cellar compartments, the shelter, an outside staircase with ramp and a large drying room with a drying unit. The apartments are accessed from the east via covered arcades. To the west, the apartments have a spacious, covered terrace and the apartments on the upper floors have a covered balcony with a lockable storeroom. The friendly design of the surroundings includes a recreation aerea in the countryside, benches, direct access to the house, disabled parking and parking spaces for cars and bicycles.

Community of Subingen
Subingen lies in the midland at 446 m above sea level, between forests and meadows at the river Ösch. The 6.3 km² large municipal area covers a section of the gravel plain rich in groundwater in the Wasseramt district and extends from the A1 motorway eastwards over the wide plain. The neighbouring municipalities of Subingen are Bolken, Etziken, Hüniken, Horriwil, Oekingen, Derendingen and Deitingen in Canton Solothurn and Wangenried and Inkwil in the Wangen district of Canton Bern. The city of Solothurn is six kilometres to the west.
With around 2900 inhabitants, Subingen is one of the medium-sized municipalities in the canton of Solothurn. The municipality of Subingen offers various shopping facilities, a post office, a bank and various schools.
