Drüblatt in Bellmund
At Lohngasse in the municipality of Bellmund, bonainvest AG is constructing a superstructure consisting of two residential buildings and a common car park with 26 parking spaces on a site belonging to the municipality of Bellmund. The project comprises a total of 16 rental apartments (1.5- to 4.5-room apartments), a Coop shop with integrated postal agency, 14 short-term parking spaces and 8 visitor parking spaces. The apartments will be built according to the bonacasa Building standard and equipped with ABB's home technology installation "free@home" for a digitally networked living experience. The warmth for heating and service water is generated by a common woodchip heating system.
Construction started in April 2019. The two apartment buildings were occupied in mid-January 2021.
Coop supermarket
On November 19, 2020, Coop opened its new supermarket in the Drüblatt development. The services of the integrated postal agency will be available to the population from the end of November.
Municipality of Bellmund
Bellmund is an attractive residential municipality with views of Lake Biel, the Jura chain, the Bernese and Fribourg Alps and the city of Biel. The village belongs to the agglomeration of Biel and is situated on a dome between the Oberholz and Jäissberg hills. The lowest point is at the "Kürzegraben" 434 m above sea level and the highest point at the Jäissberg 620 m above sea level.
Bellmund, with parts of the hamlet of St. Niklaus, borders on the municipalities of Merzligen, Jens, Port, Ipsach and Sutz.
